Birch Bay Village Amenities
Golf Course

BBV Golf Course with view of Mt. Baker
The Birch Bay Village golf course features nine regulation holes, and is available for play year round. The course is 2,175 yards from the longest of three sets of tee boxes. Playing the first nine from the white tees and the second nine from the blues, golfers enjoy a fun, but challenging golf experience in a beautiful natural setting.
With guidance from our Golf Committee, Superintendant Steve Brand and his full time groundskeeping staff maintain and continually improve the course.
Our Pro Shop is open March 16th through October 15, and is staffed by our resident teaching pro, Grant Wilson. The shop features golf apparel, refreshments and a computer for maintaining your handicap with the USGA.
The BBV Golf club keeps an active summer schedule. Women play each Wednesday afternoon, men on Thursday afternoons and Friday night features a mixed couples match.
We also host several tournaments each year, including the Whatcom Seniors, BBV Yacht Club and of course our own Club Championship Tournament.
Marina

The Birch Bay Village Marina
Birch Bay Village is poised at the gateway to some of the finest boating waters on Earth. Twenty miles south and you can be in the beautiful San Juan Islands. And to the north, the Gulf Islands and the Inside Passage await.
The perfect place for a private 250 slip marina, with a launch ramp, kayak racks, boat and trailer storage lots, guest moorage, 30 amp power, restrooms, a gas dock and pump out station. And our Marina Committee does a great job of overseeing the maintenance and improvement of these of the facilities.
Whether boating, sailing, kayaking, water crafting, crabbing, sport fishing or just rafting out, our active community enjoys exploring the local waters and beyond the year round.
The marina is also home to the Birch Bay Village Yacht Club. Click HERE visit their website.
Swimming Pools

Through out the warmer months, Village residents of all ages enjoy our swimming and wading pools. Lifeguards are on duty during the season (May – September) to watch over Water Aerobics, Swim Club, Youth Lessons, Youth, Adult and Open swim sessions. One lane is available for lap swimming all day, every day.
Tennis, Pickelball & Basketball Courts

Tennis Courts
Active Villagers enjoy tennis, pickleball and basketball at our newly resurfaced sport court area. A horseshoe pit and seasonal volleyball courts are also available for outdoor summer fun.
Parks, Lakes and Nature Areas
Sand Dollar Park
Our community assets also include five community parks, with covered picnic areas, barbeques, children’s play equipment, restrooms and other features.
We also enjoy two large man-made lakes – Thunderbird and Kwann. Many homes enjoy lakeside living, and all are welcome to paddle around. Several other community areas provide beach and lake access, and others serve as natural preserves.
Clubhouse
Our Community Clubhouse
As you can see from our calendar, the Village Clubhouse is the social center of our community. Rarely a day goes by when one of our clubs, committees, social activities or private parties are not taking advantage of this great facility.
The recently remodeled kitchen and new tables and chairs make the centrally located Clubhouse a great venue for gatherings of all sizes.
